We built this tree from 1x2's about 30 years ago,
once we added about a foot to it, so that it can hold more ornaments

For many, many years now, we always have a Gingerbread Man on top of our Tree
Una hat am Anfang richtigen Lebkuchenmänner gebacken, die wurden dann aber nach einiger Zeit weich, und klappten zusammen.
Jetzt sind sie aus Apfelmus und viel Zimt, und sie werden sehr hart und haltbar, aber nicht mehr eßbar.
In the beginning Una made real gingerbread men, but after a while the became soft and doubled over.
Now she makes them from apple sauce and cinnamon, that makes them hard and durable, but no longer edible.
