Pounding the Rice for Rice Cakes

Of course, the Japanese can do it much quicker and
with a more precise rhythm. One needs to be very
careful not to pound the hand of the person folding the rice.

Natürlich können die Japaner das viel besser als wir Ausländer,
die haben dazu den richtigen Rhythmus. Man muß ja aufpassen daß man
einem da nicht mit dem Hammer auf die Hand klopft.

もちろん、日本人ははるかに迅速と、より正確なリズムでそれができます。人
は、米を折り重ねる人の手を砕かないように非常に慎重である必要があります。

Now the dumplings are formed from the rice dough
Jetzt werden die Reisklöße aus dem Teig geformt
今、団子は米のパン生地から形成されます。

The Broth for the Udon is simmering
Die Brühe für die Udon Nudeln ist am köcheln
うどんのためのブイヨンはぐつぐつ煮えています。

The Udon is nearly ready
Die Udonnudeln sind fast fertig
うどんはほとんど準備ができています。
